JOEL is a great instructor. I will return again for another class. I always learned so much.
Helpful. Not exactly what I needed to know, but I appreciated the unsolicited advice as well as the opportunity to ask some questions.
Joel helped me ?see? a familiar scene in a new way.

Joel is very knowledgeable. The group was small size so I felt individual attention and all my questions could be answered. I will continue to take further classes in the future after this great first experience.
I enjoyed the expertise of the instructor and the input from others in the class.
Joel was a wonderful instructor who both inspired me in the pursuit of photography and helped me feel more comfortable with my camera. I would highly recommend any of his classes and plan to take more.

It was a lot of fun and had great information.
Enjoyed the session. Small group and personal attention was great. I liked that we moved around from Monona Terrace to downtown around the capital and State Street. Joel and son were great. Joel reached out to confirm prior to the meeting which also was nice.
Great instructor, I really liked Joey.

The class really opened up my ability to do more with my camera taking it off of auto mode means I have to do a lot more work, but the more I understand the more artistic I can become.

This was my second class with Madison Photography Group and Joel Ramsey. After discussing transitioning to mirrorless during the first class, ( was really just looking for an excuse) I went ahead and bought my Nikon Zfc. This was my first day shooting with it and exploring the camera as well as the city. I am always intrigued by the capitol building. I will always appreciate a picture of it.

Danae had been bucked off her horse, Hawk, moments before this photo was taken. He was cranky from getting a bath earlier in the day, but calmed down when we brought him to a pasture where his best friend Magic was penned very close by. I used a 35 mm lens on my Nikon D750 at f16 to get the sun ray spikes.

This was the day of famous Northern Lights visible in most of the North America. Stubs Stewart is the most ideal dark area for star gazing so I reached there around 11pm. As expected, it was full of enthusiasts. The lights were predicted to be at peak between 10pm - 2am. Around 2pm, when we though the "show was over", the lights started getting incredibly bright, and that is when this picture was taken. Interestingly, the lights were bright in some regions and other regions were faded enough to

It's a famous road for Golden Poplars, but I wanted to capture the Milky way passing over trees that have lost their leaves. it was early evening, but the Milky Way was already high up, so I quickly took some photos and returned to Sydney.

Last February, I left Sydney with my friends at 6pm to capture the first Milky Way view of 2024. I was very anxious because I saw a lot of clouds on the way, but I was really happy to see clear skies as I passed Newcastle. When we arrived at the lighthouse, fortunately we were the only ones in the group, so we were able to take photos without any disturbance. The lighthouse light, which was not too bright, was very helpful in filming.

I took this photo after work on the night of Friday 5-10-24. I was seeing posts about people seeing the northern lights as low as Oklahoma. I went home and grabbed my camera and equipment and went to Vancouver Lake not sure if I could capture anything. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to capture photos. This is just one of many pleasant surprises from that evening, enjoy.

Photo of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) taken on New Brighton promenade on Friday 10th May 2024 (around 11:53pm) - the night when the Northern Lights was visible from much of the UK.I'd be thinking of heading out to try and catch a photo of the Northern Lights for the past few weeks as had seen notifications on various apps and on Facebook that there might be a chance of seeing them. I finally decided to go out and see if I could see them on that evening, and I was extremely lucky tha
